This Should Worry Everyone

The consolidation of retailers should concern everyone. Walmart has devastated local communities across America. Every local business that closes hurts the community. For every $100 you spend at local businesses, $68 will stay in the community. Compared to chains and big box stores where only $20 – $25 stay local. Creating other jobs and commerce.

Independent retailers return more than three times as much money per dollar of sales to the community in which they operate than chain competitors.

Independent restaurants return more than two times as much money per dollar of sales than national restaurant chains.

It isn’t always the easiest or most convenient option to visit a local independent business rather than a large national chain that might be down the street. However, there are plenty of ways you can help support your local economy by thinking local first:

Try the menu at a local restaurant for lunch or dinner.

Purchase a birthday present at a local gift shop.

Visit a local nursery or hardware store for your lawn and garden needs.

Get your car serviced at a local mechanic.

Visit a farmer’s market to purchase the ingredients for your family dinner.

Many local economies are languishing not because too little cash comes in, but as a result of what happens to that money. “Money is like blood. It needs to keep moving around to keep the economy going,” he says, noting that when money is spent elsewhere—at big supermarkets, non-locally owned utilities and other services such as on-line retailers—”it flows out, like a wound.” By shopping at the corner store instead of the big box, consumers keep their communities from becoming what the NEF calls “ghost towns” (areas devoid of neighborhood shops and services) or “clone towns”, where Main Street now looks like every other Main Street with the same fast-food and retail chains.

I urge everyone to “Buy Local” whenever possible. Yes, the price may be higher, but the cost to the community is much lower.

Stunning Department of Justice Announcement

In a move that stunned many members of the media, on Thursday night Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who is overseeing the Russia probe due to Jeff Sessions’ recusal and who earlier this week confirmed only he has authority to fire Special Counsel Robert Mueller, released an unorthodox statement to be “skeptical about anonymous allegations” following the relentless barrage of news reports emerging from the WaPo and the NYT about the evolving probe into Russia’s “election interference” and possible collusion with Trump, all based on “anonymous sources.”

“Americans should exercise caution before accepting as true any stories attributed to anonymous ‘officials,’ particularly when they do not identify the country — let alone the branch or agency of government — with which the alleged sources supposedly are affiliated. Americans should be skeptical about anonymous allegations. The Department of Justice has a long-established policy to neither confirm nor deny such allegations.

In Stunning Announcement, DOJ Warns Not To Trust Stories Based On “Anonymous Sources”

Four Senators to Expand Seizure Laws

Charles Grassley (R-Iowa), Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), John Cornyn (R-Texas) and Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) introduced in Congress the Combating Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Counterfeiting Act of 2017, legislation that makes it much easier for the federal government to seize assets transported overseas or into the United States.

This is a terrible idea. The seizure laws are indiscriminately used to steal assets from honest citizens. Police use the seizure laws to take property with no legal grounds and then force the citizens to fight them in court to get their property back. It is legalized theft, guilty with no trial or even evidence of a crime.

The True Democrat Reaction

In response to five people being shot, including House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) and two Capitol Police officers.

Chelsey Gentry-Tipton, the chairwoman of the Nebraska Democratic Party’s Black Caucus, said, “Watching the congressman crying on live tv abt the trauma they experienced. Y is this so funny tho? The very people that push pro NRA legislation in efforts to pad their pockets with complete disregard for human life. Yeah, having a hard time feeling bad for them.”

Good News Though… Nebraska Democratic Party official won’t resign after calling Republican reaction to shooting “funny.”

Any bets you never hear about this on any main stream news? However, it would be wall to wall coverage if a republican did the same thing. So much for the Fake News Media.

Media Fake News

We have listened for years as the media portrayed conservatives and republicans as dangerous and violent. All with ZERO proof, other than support of the 2nd Amendment. But not a word about liberal and democrat violence. And yet with no examples of conservative violence the narrative from the media continues. While censoring all the examples of liberal and democrat violence. Here is a list for the last few months of liberal violence.

These do not include the graphic simulated violence by the left. Such as a play beheading President Trump, Kathy Griffin posing with bloody head of President Trump, or dozens of other calls for violence from the left.

Media and A Conspiracy of Silence

A vast conspiracy of silence kept the ‘Russia Collusion’ story alive. Under oath Comey testified that he told President Trump that he was not under investigation for Russian Collusion. However, President Trump was far from alone in being told he was NOT under investigation.

James Comey also admitted he told congressional leadership the exact same thing, repeatedly. Specifically, James Comey stated he informed: Paul Ryan, Nancy Pelosi, Mitch McConnell, Chuck Schumer, Devin Nunes, Adam Schiff, Richard Burr, Dianne Feinstein, and Mark Warner.

And they were not alone Comey also personally informed Republican and Democrat leadership, and both the Senate and House intelligence committees, that President Trump was not under investigation.

Do you realize how many people that is? Here is the list…

Mike Conaway (11th District of Texas), Peter King (2nd District of New York), Frank LoBiondo (2nd District of New Jersey), Tom Rooney (17th District of Florida), Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (27th District of Florida), Michael Turner (10th District of Ohio), Brad Wenstrup (2nd District of Ohio), Chris Stewart (2nd District of Utah), Rick Crawford (1st District of Arkansas), Trey Gowdy (4th District of South Carolina), Elise Stefanik (21st District of New York), Will Hurd (23rd District of Texas), Adam Schiff, Ranking Member (28th District of California), Jim Himes (4th District of Connecticut), Terri Sewell (7th District of Alabama), Andre Carson (7th District of Indiana), Jackie Speier (14th District of California), Mike Quigley (5th District of Illinois), Eric Swalwell (15th District of California), Joaquin Castro (20th District of Texas), Denny Heck (10th District of Washington), James Risch (Idaho), Marco Rubio (Florida), Susan Collins (Maine), Roy Blunt (Missouri), James Lankford (Oklahoma), Tom Cotton (Arkansas), John Cornyn (Texas), Dianne Feinstein (California), Ron Wyden (Oregon), Martin Heinrich (New Mexico), Angus King (Maine), Joe Manchin (West Virginia), Kamala Harris (California)

All of them knew President Trump was not under investigation.

That also means that all of their key aides, staffers who assist each of the aforementioned politicians – and sit in on intelligence briefings, knew President Trump was not under investigation. That network extends downstream to thousands of people on capitol hill, and everyone surrounding the White House, and everyone in key legislative conact, and they all knew President Trump was never under investigation.

Other than one obtuse statement from what was apparently a frustrated Senator Chuck Grassley, the entire DC system kept a lid on the truth that President Trump was not ever under investigation.

The stunning truth is that the American political and media establishment allowed a phony story – that they knew was phony — to dominate our political discourse for months

For months, these “leaders” have allowed a FAKE STORY to dominate the news. And they all knew it was a LIE.

For all his faults, Donald Trump is fighting against this corrupt collective. We, the American people must decide which side will prevail.

Breaking News

Remember all the reports and stories from “unnamed sources,” that declared President Trump lied. You remember, the NYT, CNN, and others had “unnamed sources” stating that Comey, NEVER told President Trump he was not under investigation. But under oath Comey did acknowledge, that he did tell President Trump exactly that.

Now we know EVERY report and story was just more “FAKE NEWS.”

Comey Testomoney News

Despite Multiple Anonymous Fake News Reports To The Contrary, Comey Did Tell Trump 3 Times That He Wasn’t Under Investigation In The Russia Probe

Numerous outlets, but most prominently CNN reported that Comey’s testimony would contradict Trump’s claim that Comey told him on three separate occasions that he wasn’t under investigation. As it turns out, Trump was right and the anonymous reports were wrong. Again.

The Conspiracy Theory That Says Trump Colluded With Russia To Somehow Steal The Election From Hillary Clinton Is Now Dead

Not only did Comey thoroughly shoot down the idea that Trump was being investigated in the Russia probe, he explicitly denied stories based on anonymous sources that said Trump colluded with the Russians. He added, “Yes, there have been many, many stories based on — well, lots of stuff but about Russia that are dead wrong.”

Obama Attorney General Loretta Lynch Interfered In The Clinton Investigation

Comey said he was “concerned” that Obama’s Attorney General, Loretta Lynch, asked him to publicly call the criminal investigation of Clinton a “matter” instead. This matched rhetoric used by the Clinton campaign and Comey said he had a problem with it because, “I don’t know whether it was intentional or not but it gave the impression that the attorney general was looking to align the way we talked about our work with the way it was describing that. It was inaccurate.” Despite the fact that Comey was “concerned” and felt it was “inaccurate,” he did as Lynch asked, which doesn’t exactly speak well of his honesty or impartiality.

James Comey Leaked Information To The New York Times

Not only did Comey give memos to a friend of his with the intention that they be leaked to the New York Times, he did so with the hope that it would cause a Special Counsel to be appointed. Those were not the actions of a trustworthy or impartial man.

So Who Goes To Jail

Testifying before the Senate Intelligence Committee Thursday, former FBI Director James Comey said that shortly after being fired by President Donald Trump, he asked “a close friend” at the Columbia University Law School to leak a memo detailing a conversation he had with the commander in chief.

So, does Comey, his friend, or both go to jail for releasing classified information?

Comey the Leaker Admits Giving Memo to a €˜”Good Friend” to Leak to Media

James Comey casually admitted he leaked his own memo, which contained private notes on his personal conversations with President Donald Trump, to the press through a “good friend”, as he stated earlier today during his testimony to the Senate Intelligence committee.
