Like communism the theory of multiculturalism sounds wonderful. If you read the tenants of communism the theory is brilliant. Everyone works and contributes to the best of their ability. In return they only take what they need. If that doctrine worked there would be more than enough for all. The reality is, under communism there is NEVER enough of anything, and a shortage of everything.
Every living organism must expend less energy to acquire sustenance than it needs to survive. I believe, that we are genetically wired to do as little as possible to obtain the needs for survival. It simply is not in human nature, to do more work than the person next to them for less. Two men working the same job, side by side, one is single, the other married with two children. How many of the single men are willing to do the same job for one-third the pay? But under communism that is the theory. That is why communism and socialism fail every time. Taking from the producers and giving to the non-producers, only make the producers do less.
A culture and society are a living composition. In order to survive and flourish it must be united. They must unify across all aspects. Multiculturalism is the antitheses to the requirements of them.
America was unique is the world. American culture unified differences. Every different group that immigrated to America, accepted, and adapted to the American culture. But the American culture, in return, also adapted to the new citizens. America accepted a part from the new settlers culture as its own. With each new influx, American culture accepted a part from the new residents, and grew. Every new immigrant group added to the American culture.
The idea of multiculturalism stops the integration of immigrants into the host culture. Instead of a growing vibrant culture, society now has two competing cultures. As the idea of multiculturalism grows, a society has more and more separate cultures competing for resources. Things appear to work well when resources (jobs) are plentiful. However, when resources become scarce trouble begins. Each group accuses the other of having or using undue influence to gain advantage over others.
This is the turning point for a culture. There are only two alternative. One, conflict, warfare, and complete destruction of the culture. The other is abandoning the idea of multiculturalism. Forcing the different cultures to again assimilate into a unified culture. Those cultures that refuse to integrate must be expelled. Elimination of crutches that make it easy not to assimilate to the culture. Eliminate the multi-lingual options among other changes. Not much less painful than the first option. America is close to that tipping point. The United States are no longer united. We have become “Balkanized.” There are complete communities and neighborhoods that cannot speak English. Other groups, no longer feel a part of the whole.
I don’t have the answers, but I do know we are coming to a breaking point. Feel good programs that make it easy not to be productive, must stop. Programs that discriminate against families, must stop. Programs that encourage companies to move jobs overseas, must stop. America must again work for Americans, not the rest of the world.
